There have been two schools of thought when it comes to buying products: some say, “tell me the best choice and that is what I’ll buy,” while others want to do the research and make their own decision. These digitally savvy consumers want to investigate all the options and costs and make an educated decision as to which product will best suit their needs. But that doesn’t mean a contractor should go into the home without offering other options the homeowner either may not be aware of or just hadn’t found in their search.
The roofing industry began with three-tab asphalt shingles, which are the most cost effective and fine option for more modest properties. Over time, homeowners started to demand shingles with different features and looks. Because of that, architectural shingles became a more popular option.
